How to check APEPDCL's official shutdown list
APEPDCL does not publish a list of planned shutdowns: when we checked, its site and Outage Management System showed no schedule. What it does publish is a live list of feeders that are off right now, so you can check that there, but it does not tell you about tomorrow.
- To see whether your feeder is off right now, open APEPDCL's 11KV Feeder Live Interruptions page. Wait for it to load, which can take up to a minute. APEPDCL live interruptions
- Click VISAKHAPATNAM, then your division and sub-division, then click a count to see the list. Each row gives the feeder, substation, area, when the outage started and how long it has lasted.

Why does the next street have power and you don't?
In most Indian cities your supply comes off a feeder shared with a few neighbouring areas. When a transformer overheats in summer, the discom often switches areas off in turn to let it cool — so your neighbour's lights come back while yours go out. Complaining moves the cut; it doesn't end it. Knowing this changes what you should do.
