How to escalate a UGVCL complaint

Complain to @UGVCL_official on X

UGVCL answers complaints on X, and a public post is on the record. We write it; you post it from your own account.

@UGVCL_official No power in Ahmedabad for over an hour. Please look into it and restore supply. powerwatch.live/in/discom/ugvcl #PowerCut #Ahmedabad

Keep your account or RR number out of the public post; if @UGVCL_official asks for it, send it by DM.

Forward the complaint number to your group so nobody has to search for it mid-outage.

GUVNL subsidiary. Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar cities proper are Torrent Power's licence area; UGVCL serves the surrounding parts of those districts, so it is listed as a secondary discom for both cities. 9825819121 is listed on ugvcl.com as a customer-care number; whether it accepts WhatsApp was not stated.

Complaint not fixed? How to escalate

Every distribution licensee in India must run a Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum, and every state has an Electricity Ombudsman above it. Work up the ladder; keep your complaint number from step one.

If the supply was out longer than your state allows, the discom may owe you compensation. What you can claim, and how.

  1. 1

UGVCL customer care centre / sub-division office

Call 19121 or 1800-233-155335 (email ccc@ugvcl.com), or use the UGVCL Consumer App.

  2. 2

Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF), UGVCL

File with the UGVCL CGRF (Mehsana) if unresolved; GUVNL runs an e-CGRF portal at cgrf.guvnl.com.

  3. 3

    Electricity Ombudsman, GERC

Appeal against the CGRF order to the Gujarat Electricity Ombudsman; GERC, GIFT ONE, GIFT City, Gandhinagar (079-23602000).
